Today I cleaned up where the old tongue was welded in and cut new steel to replace it. Once I got it all fitted I burned it all together. Finishing it up with a quick coat of black to help prevent it from rusting.

While I had all my tools spread out across the entire driveway, I cut out the first cross member. I'm going to replace the front one first, then put in the rear most one 13' back from the point where the trailer sides bend in and meet the tongue. Once that's all set, I'm going to center the middle between the front and back ones.
