Trailer Cross Member Work and Tongue Removal

Today I started working on the trailer. Went to my local steel supply and got enough steel to replace the cross members and the tongue. Got home and measured, cut and welded all three of the new cross members.

These are the old ones. From this angle You can't see the bottom of each one in the center is rotted out.

And here are the new ones made out of 2x3x1/8 steel.

Borrowed my neighbors torch and cut out the old tongue getting ready to replace it with all new steel. 3x3x1/8 for the tongue and 2x3x1/8 for the rear support. Still have to clean it up a lot.

Old tongue for the scrap guy.

This isn't good. Think a trip to the local trailer supply will fix this.
