The first day, I spent cleaning out all the old carpet and seats. Plus I really never got a good look at this thing. This is the easy part. I just cut everything out and washed it out. Two things I noticed. One, the dashboard is totally rotten. That's fine because I need to fill in old gauge holes, so that would mean replacing that wood anyhow. Second thing is the floor is soft from front to back. Again, that's fine as I plan on ripping it out and running stringers from the transom up to the bulkhead. Oh, the bulkhead is rotten also.

Here is the 1973 Evinrude Starflight 85hp outboard the boat came with. This was removed and this boat will never see an outboard again.
