Started working on the rail mount system for everything in the boat. Engine, pump braces, seats and front kick plate will all be mounted to the rails. The only holes drilled into the hull are the ones for the rail bolts. The bolts holding this together now are temporary. Once everything is fitted it will be dissaembled and annodized. Then the proper bolts will be used. The rails are 3" x 4" x 1/4" thick angle aluminum. The backing plates are 3" x 1/4" flat stock aluminum.

The engine plates were cut out of 1/4" aluminum plate. A standard table saw will work very well. I used a 60 tooth carbide blade and fed it slow. I'm going to wait till the engine is fitted to the pump, straight and level, before I cut them to final shape.
